Divine Holy Spirit

The Divine Holy Spirit or "Divine" is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. And God.
It is love between the Father and the Son personified, alive and active. It is he who dwells in our hearts by baptism and who guides those who believe in Jesus Christ on the path of salvation. The Bible uses symbolic images to represent it, such as Fire, Breath, Wind, Living Water, and the dove symbol.

The symbolic dove of the Holy Spirit

The representation of the Divine Holy Spirit as a dove comes from the New Testament. More explicitly on the occasion of Jesus' baptism. In this passage, the Divine Holy Spirit "appeared in bodily form like a dove and a voice came from heaven saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I lay all my affection." The four Gospels report the fact. The texts are in: Matthew 3, 16; Mark 1:10; Luke 3:22; John 1:32.

Santa Rita

San Francisco

Francis converted and founded the mendicant order of the Friars Minor, better known as Franciscans, who renewed the Catholicism of his time. With the habit of itinerant preaching, when the religious of their day used to set themselves in monasteries, and with their belief that the Gospel should be followed to the letter, imitating the life of Christ, it developed a deep identification with the problems of their fellow men and the humanity of Christ himself. His attitude was original also when he affirmed the goodness and the marvel of Creation at a time when the world was seen as essentially evil, when he dedicated himself to the poorest of the poor, and when he loved all creatures by calling them brothers. Some scholars claim that his positive view of nature and man, which permeated the imagination of the whole society of his time, was one of the first forces that led to the formation of the Renaissance philosophy

Drawings Easy to Draw Tips, Tricks, Models for Mommy and Educators (and dads too, why not?)

Question: Have you ever seen a baby "drawing" with the spoon on your baby's plate when you are starting to eat alone? Child drawing with food I might venture to say that if you did not see it, you did not pay attention. You may also have heard from your child's pediatrician that food with color and organized presentation helps to develop perceptions far beyond the simple taste, or perhaps not, depends on your child's pediatrician and not on you. What is the purpose of this post? By idealizing, researching and writing this post I have tried to keep my focus on the people who love, care and educate our children and help them in the task with children's drawings, pedagogical drawings, but above all show that simple and easy drawings make children's joy And are very valuable in their motor development, in the expression of what they see and th

Tools for Watercolor = part 3 of 4

PALETTE I use an O'Hara palette, upon which the color is a mound on a flat surface. The reason for this is that sullied color runs off and leaves pure color available on the top of the mound. A dinner plate or enameled tray has the same advantage. Any palette with color in a depression is mechanically inferior. Contaminated color becomes a constant problem. Water stays in declivities and when paper is wet you cannot get dry color to put into wet areas. Masterpieces have been painted with color in little holes, but they were made in spite of this handicap. BRUSHES Eighty percent of my painting is done with a two-inch camel's-hair flat brush and a one-inch red sable flat. In many pictures no other brushes were used. This may be because demonstrating to classes everyday — committed to one hour of drawing and painting, and talking while I paint (students cannot sit still longer) — I find these brushes faster. The large flat brush, however, has the following undeniable v

Tools for watercolor part 1 of 4

Tools for watercolor there are two reasons for putting paint on paper. One is to communicate an idea or an emotion. The other is to decorate a surface. Either objective, or the more interesting and more important one of contriving a synthesis of both, has as a prerequisite a knowledge of and facility with the tools used. These are our concern in this next post. THE VIRTUES OF WATERCOLOR Watercolor has three glories or virtues: (1) Faster rhythms — one stroke three-feet long if you wish. (2) Lovelier precipitations, the truth involved here being that substances obeying their own laws do beautiful things. Look at tide marks on a beach, or auto tire marks in snow. Coil two ropes and cast one on the floor, then you arrange the other. A glance at them proves my contention. Look at a Rorschach ink blot. This is the truth nobody added nothing to. He poured enamel or paint on the floor and framed the area that pleased him most. Watercolor is trying to help yo
